Spring Pics 2012

June 2, 2012

A bit more of a variety this time.

Image

A robin. Not very colorful, but I liked the pose.

Image

A red squirrel.

Image

Lesser Scaups. Also known as Little Bluebills.

Image

Image

Image

A wasp. I like the quality of my 60mm macro lens much better, but the 300mm keeps you at a safer distance.

Image

Not sure of the exact name, but it looks to be in the Wagtail family. Possibly an Eastern Yellow Wagtail? I was pretty close to this one so I used my 60mm lens on it.

Image

The baby ducklings have arrived!

Image

A male American Wigeon. The clouds moved in so the colors aren’t as bright as they could be.

Image

A recent picture of yours truly! Am I hot or am I hot!!!

Return of the Wildlife

May 11, 2012

A rare action shot.

Image

A nice pose with this one.

Image

The sun did a good job of bringing out his colors.

Image

You taking a pic of me?

Image

Not sure what type of bird this is, don’t see many of them.

Image

A nice profile of the Bald Eagle. I’m surprised he landed on such a small branch.

Image

Look left.

Image

Look right. Thank you.

Rick Riordan came up here for a book signing. We don’t get many celebrities like this up here. Thanks RR, you made our day!!

Spring Pics

April 20, 2012

Some recent pics, enjoy!

Always a branch in the way…

Don’t worry, I’m not going to take your trash.

Not sure what type of duck it is on the lower right. It could be a Red-breasted Merganser or a Goosander.

Caption this one. The duck was climbing a big mound of snow.

There is a proper place for art, and tables aren’t on the list.

Spring is here!

May 3, 2010

The snow is gone and the wildlife is back!

If I’m correct, this is a Goldeneye duck.

I’m no expert, but I think this is a Milbert’s Tortoiseshell Butterfly. (Nymphalis milberti)

I don’t smoke, but if I saw this sign I would’ve done this too.

Duck, Duck, Goose

Or something like that.

Enjoy!
