I’ve finally upgraded my old 10.2mp camera to a 24.3mp. The old one had 3 focus points, this one has 39. It’s going to take a bit to learn all the features, but it’ll be worth it.
It’s Springtime in Alaska, but still lots of snow and not many colorful subjects yet.
A black-capped chickadee.
A Steller’s Jay. I like the blue colors in the feathers, but it’s hard to get a good shot with their darker feathers. They seem to prefer the top parts of trees so it’s hard to get a level shot with them, or one without foreground branches in the way.
A Downy Woodpecker. I like the way their spots line up on the feathers.
The squirrel was in the shade. The D600 does very well in low light situations.
