U.N.’s Ban condemns Dutch film as anti-Islamic

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned as “offensively anti-Islamic” a Dutch lawmaker’s film that accuses the Koran of inciting violence.

Ban acknowledged efforts by the government of the Netherlands to stop the broadcast of the film, which was launched by Islam critic Geert Wilders over the Internet, and appealed for calm to those “understandably offended by it.”

“There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence,” Ban said in a statement. “The right of free expression is not at stake here.”

The film urges Muslims to tear out “hate-filled” verses from the Koran and starts and finishes with a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad with a bomb under his turban, accompanied by the sound of ticking.

What about all the films that have bashed Christianity? Or offended Jews? Why doesn’t the UN speak out against them?

Why didn’t the UN condemn Ian McKellen?

McKellen tears out Bible’s anti-gay page in hotel rooms

SIR Ian McKellen is so offended by the Bible’s anti-gay stance he makes a point of ripping out the relevant page every time he stays in a hotel room.

The openly homosexual actor, a longtime campaigner for gay rights, accepts he shouldn’t vandalise the Bible, but finds it difficult to contain his outrage at the contents of Leviticus 20:13 when he spots the holy book in hotels.

Many books and films trash Christians and Jews but the UN is silent on them. Is the UN only speaking out because it fears Muslims? Sounds like their attitudes are ‘Do as you please, but don’t piss off the Muslims or there will be Hell to pay.’

Pardon my German, but FUCK the UN! If you can’t treat all religions equally, then stay out of it!

This and That

March 21, 2008

Since race seems a big topic lately…

From Obama…

On p. 94-95 he describes an effective tactic to deal with White people:

It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned:
People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied; they were relieved – such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn’t seem angry all the time.

“This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better,” Minister Farrakhan

Question is, ‘better’ for who? When a racist and a racist group support him, then you just have to question these things.

Watch this video to the end:

How does he keep his tax-exempt status? I’ve never heard a Man of God say the word ‘tits’ in front of the congregation like that too. And people wonder why we don’t look at Black Church’s with lots of respect?

New Black Panther Party 10 Point Program

1. We want freedom. We want the power to practice self-determination, and to determine the destiny
of our community and THE BLACK NATION.
2. We want full employment for our people and we demand the dignity to do for ourselves what we
have begged the white man to do for us. POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! WEALTH IN
THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! ARMS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE!
3. We want tax exemption and an end to robbery of THE BLACK by the CAPITALIST. We want an
end to the capitalistic domination of Africa in all of its forms: imperialism, criminal settler colonialism,
neo-colonialism, racism, sexism, zionism, apartheid and artificial borders.
4. We want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings, free health-care (preventive and maintenance).
We want an end to the trafficking of drugs and to the biological and chemical warfare
targeted at our people.
5. We want education for our people that exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent
American society. We want education that teaches us our true history/herstory and our role in
the present day society.
6. We want all Black Men and Black Women to be exempt from military service.
7. We want an immediate end to POLICE HARRASSMENT, BRUTALITY AND MURDER of Black People.
We want an end to Black-on-Black violence, “snitching”, cooperation and collaboration with
the oppressor.
8. We want freedom for all Black Men and Black Women held in international, military, federal,
state, county, city jails and prisons.
9. We want all Black People when brought to trial to be tried in a court by a jury of their peer group
or people from their Black Communities, as defined by white law of the Constitution of United
States.
10. WE DEMAND AN END TO THE RACIST DEATH PENALTY AS IT IS APPLIED TO BLACK AND OPPRESSED
PEOPLE IN AMERICA. WE DEMAND FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS OF

THE BLACK RED AND BROWN NATION!
History has proven that the white man is absolutely disagreeable to get along with in peace. No one
has been able to get along with the white man. All the people of color have been subjected to the
white man’s wrath. We believe that his very nature will not allow for true sharing, fairness, equity
and justice. Therefore, to the Red Man and Woman, to the Yellow and to the Brown, we say to you
“THE SAME RABID DOG THAT BIT YOU, BIT US TOO!” ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

And if white people talked like this… yeah, you know the rest.  Ain’t it funny how white people get fired for expressing their views but blacks can say anything without retribution?

Don’t hand me any BS about ‘not knowing what it’s like to be a black person’ crap. Two can play that game. Blacks don’t know what it’s like to have an entire race blame them and hold them responsible for something that happened over a hundred years ago by people you weren’t even related to.

In case you missed it, we have freedom in this country. If you want to get somewhere in life, then work for it! It worked for Obama and Oprah, and it can work for you too!

My personal feeling is that many issues attributed to ‘race’ are really economic issues but I’ll leave that for another post. But at least you now have something interesting to ponder.

Something else about Obama that may interest you…

Obama’s $1,000,000 Fix for Michelle

A couple of weeks ago I reported here (citing Byron York) that Michelle Obama’s compensation at the University of Chicago Hospital, where she is a vice president for community affairs, jumped from $121,910 in 2004, just before her husband was elected to the Senate, to $316,962 in 2005, just after he took office.

Obama Requested $1 Million For Construction Of A New Hospital Pavilion At The University Of Chicago. In 2006, Obama requested that the University of Chicago receive $1 million to support its Construction of New Hospital Pavilion.

Did that say Mr. Obama was “chairman of the Illinois Senate’s health committee?” And this was while Mrs. Obama was being paid over $100,000 per year by one of Chicago’s three big private hospitals to do something or other?

Isn’t that a conflict of interest?

Sure is a hefty pay raise for a noob, eh? And her hubby arranges for the State to give the hospital one million smackaroos. Coincidence? I’m sure you can connect the dots on this one.

Obama…………………………………Politics as usual.

See how easy that was!

Are you a ‘Brain Dead Liberal’?

March 12, 2008

Check out this article by David Mamet.

I took the liberal view for many decades, but I believe I have changed my mind.

As a child of the ’60s, I accepted as an article of faith that government is corrupt, that business is exploitative, and that people are generally good at heart.

And, I wondered, how could I have spent decades thinking that I thought everything was always wrong at the same time that I thought I thought that people were basically good at heart? Which was it?

For the Constitution, rather than suggesting that all behave in a godlike manner, recognizes that, to the contrary, people are swine and will take any opportunity to subvert any agreement in order to pursue what they consider to be their proper interests.

I found not only that I didn’t trust the current government (that, to me, was no surprise), but that an impartial review revealed that the faults of this president—whom I, a good liberal, considered a monster—were little different from those of a president whom I revered.

Bush got us into Iraq, JFK into Vietnam. Bush stole the election in Florida; Kennedy stole his in Chicago. Bush outed a CIA agent; Kennedy left hundreds of them to die in the surf at the Bay of Pigs. Bush lied about his military service; Kennedy accepted a Pulitzer Prize for a book written by Ted Sorenson. Bush was in bed with the Saudis, Kennedy with the Mafia. Oh.

The right is mooing about faith, the left is mooing about change, and many are incensed about the fools on the other side—but, at the end of the day, they are the same folks we meet at the water cooler. Happy election season.

It’s a long but very interesting article that I recommend you read.

Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head.
~Francois Guisot (1787-1874)
