My ftp account was deleted due to hacking. I set up a new one but I cannot

connect using my ftp program.

ftp host:
host dir: /web/
login: xxx
password: xxx

I’ve tried several variations with no success. What am I doing wrong?

Dear Frznagn,

You can get the correct FTP login information here:
1. Login to your account
2. Click on the ftp tab

Member [Frznagn] November 28, 2008 14:31:09

I’ve done that. I can log into the ftp using the applet but I want

to use the ftp client in Dreamweaver to access my ftp account

and it won’t connect. Which one of my settings is incorrect?

I’ve created two different ftp accounts with different

passwords and no luck. I’d send you a screenshot but it doesn’t

work in this format.

Member [Frznagn] November 28, 2008 14:39:13

The error message is: An FTP error occurred- cannot make

connection to host. Dreamweaver could not connect because

the server is down or not accepting connections.

Dear Frznagn,

What are you entering for the following:

Host Name:

Member [Frznagn] November 28, 2008 14:57:15

I listed them in my first message. Here they are again.

ftp host:
host dir: /web/
login: xxx
password: xxx

Dear Frznagn,

That is not correct. That is why I gave you the instructions to go back

to the FTP page so you can get the correct FTP login details.

Member [Frznagn] November 28, 2008 15:35:36

But I got ALL of this from my FTP page! I put these exact

settings into Dreamweaver and it doesn’t work.

Which setting, or settings is incorrect?

From the FTP page:
Path Username Server/Hostname
/web/ xxx

If I use “” then it doesn’t work either.

Is my ftp turned off or blocked?

I said in my previous post that “” doesn’t work.

I get the error message “An FTP error occurred- cannot open

remote folder /web/ Access Denied. The file may not

exist, or there could be a permission problem.”

Ok, now what?

Dear Frznagn, is correct. Do not try anything other then that.

You need to set the password.

1. Login to your account
2. Click on the ftp tab
3. Click the password icon

Incredible, eh? I tell them something doesn’t work and then they tell me to try it! Do they even read what I’m typing? Or are they just following some stupid flow-chart thingy? I found the solution. The solution was simple- instead of “ /web/” use “/”.

Busy, busy

November 24, 2008

Sorry about the lack of posts but I’ve been busy. It’s ‘end of month’ which means all of our accounting stuff has to be posted and I’ve been working in Flash and Photoshop. I’m working on an animation with a bear, moose and another critter. At this rate it should be ready in…. 2012.

So, time to laugh at my drawing ‘skills’.

Since I finally figured out how to edit shapes with bitmaps I’m going to have to redo the bear.

The “Tolerant” Left

November 24, 2008

Does anyone still believe that the left is ‘tolerant’?

And this:

That’s right everyone, if you don’t think like them then YOU are the one with the problem! What makes it really funny is how the lefties complain about us being mindless sheep. Hmm, ‘conform or be insulted’ sounds like they are the mindless ones! They sure know how to put the ‘rant’ in ‘tolerant’!

These pics were posted over at, I like what Magnus had to say:

Not being from American I can say my perspective is this:

Red States: Kind scared but for the most part a lot smarter than most people think.

Blue States: Egotistical dipshits who think the sun rises and sets on their own egos with no more perspective than the tofu they sprinkle in their organic salads. Overly judgmental closet racists who about as close to enforcing Nazi ideology as America has ever seen. “Think like us or else” should the the democratic party supporters motto. If it isn’t already.

Now you’re screwed

November 23, 2008

Yup, you’ve really screwed yourselves this time!

Islamist Fighters Threaten to Attack Pirates in Clash Over Hijacked Supertanker

Islamist fighters threatened to attack Somali pirates Sunday in an effort to rescue a Saudi oil supertanker carrying $100 million worth of crude oil that was hijacked last week, the Agence France-Presse reported.

Never underestimate the power of the Dark Side!

Yes, this will be interesting.

The official Obama Inaugural Dollar

November 13, 2008

It’s true!

And if that isn’t enough for you, then you can get the Bonus coin!

Notice that it even has the Kennedy Half Dollar design!

And if that doesn’t make your lunch come back up, then try these statements:

Just because you ‘change’ something, it doesn’t mean it’s for the better.

Can you say ‘The first of many cheap trinkets to buy!’?

Personally, I’d hold out for the official Obama Organ Grinder set.

Truth in Blogging

November 13, 2008

In the blogging world, what is the truth? Is every ‘news’ article true? Or is it just the ones that you agree with?

I’m sure we’ve all heard what the moonbats call Fox News, right? But why do they think it is ‘faux’? Is it because it’s true? Or is it because they don’t want to believe any contrary news/opinion? Or even because they have crossed some sort of line and reported unfavorably on someone they worship?

Me thinks it’s the latter one.

But what do you call MSNBC when they report faux news? Will you see the left call it Faux MSNBC or FMSNBC? I don’t think so!

But why not? Shouldn’t they apply the same standards to all news stations? You’d think so but nope!

MSNBC Retracts False Palin Story; Others Duped

MSNBC was the victim of a hoax when it reported that an adviser to John McCain had identified himself as the source of an embarrassing story about former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the network said Wednesday.

So, how many lefty blogs will suck it up and retract their comments about this faux news from MSNBC?

If they don’t, then fine. As long as they keep their standards and call them FauxMSNBC.

Otherwise, me thinks the ‘H’ word applies!!!

I’m beached bro!

Election Maps

November 6, 2008

Some very interesting maps and explanations here.

Here are the results by county:

If you didn’t know better, you’d think McCain won. I’d be willing to bet that you could find the big cities just by looking at the blue areas. Funny how that works, eh?

Impeach Obama!

November 6, 2008

That’s right, you heard me. Impeach Obama!!!

Throw the bum out! Yup, hit the road Jack!!!

O’ really?

Believe it or not, there are actually people calling for him to be impeached. Amazing! I would link to it but these buffoons don’t deserve their 15 minutes of fame.

Ok wingnuts, we are better than the left. Knock this crap off! We all know that Bush gave a great speech in an effort to unify us but the left would have none of it. Never gave him a chance. Well quite frankly, we’re better than that! I say that each and every one of us need to give him a chance. No matter what we differ in or to what degree, we need to give him a chance. Now, if he asks for increased power and to ‘trust’ him, then that’s another story. But as it stands, give him a chance.

Think about it. If he’s as bad as we’ve been saying he is or will be, then all we really have to wait. Just give him a bit of rope and see if he can hang himself with it, or not. If he does a good job, then great! If not, well then you can jump on the Impeachment Express.

Good luck Obama, you’re going to need it.

Welcome home Sarah!

November 6, 2008

Sarah Palin just arrived home about an hour ago. We went to the airport and welcomed her home. The crowd was ‘small’, but it was late and 25 degrees outside. When she got off the plane, she went straight to the crowd and talked to them. Then she went to the media pool. I didn’t get to shake her hand, but she did sign my McCain/Palin sticker! She went down the rope, signed autographs, posed for pictures, gave out a few hugs and so on. She was very happy and everyone was excited to see her. I don’t care what the msm says, she’s a class act!
