I’m sure by now you’ve heard Obama complain about those ‘distractions’ like Rev. Wright, or Ayers, or Rezko, ‘clinging to guns and religion’ comments and so on. Yup, anything that makes Obama look bad is a ‘distraction’.
But what does he do when he finds a distraction on McCain? Well, you’d think he’d be above it all but noooo!
Obama’s ad: McCain’s Houses
Obama makes a video about how McCain couldn’t remember how many houses he has. Is that it? The issues that the voters care about include how many houses someone has? Or what they can remember? Heck, I have a hard time remembering how many computers I have in my house!
Obama’s campaign has quickly turned McCain’s uncertainty about how many homes he owns into their toughest attack against the Republican yet. For the first time, Obama goes after his rival with a character-based assault akin to what McCain’s campaign has been doing with their Celebrity line of attack.
John McCain’s family owns at least eight properties — not the seven Democrats are alleging or the four McCain’s staff identified — according to a Politico analysis of property and tax records, as well as interviews.
The presumptive Republican nominee, though, may have some wiggle room in explaining why he couldn’t immediately provide an answer when asked by Politico how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own. Sen. McCain himself does not own any of the properties. They’re all owned by Cindy McCain, her dependent children and the trusts and companies they control.
Emphasis mine. No wonder he doesn’t know! I don’t know how many rings my wife owns, that’s her job!
And Obama said he’s above those petty personal attacks. It’s a good thing he’s not like Pinocchio, we’d have so much wood we’d be putting the logging industry out of work.
This weeks goes to Obama:
