Which is Scarier?

Obama with all of his problems (lack of experience, associations, bad judgement, flip-flops, voting record {“Present”}, etc…)

Or the people that support him? This bit from an alleged “college professor“.

Obama must resolve the issue of reparations

The white man owes the African people a heavy debt drenched in the blood and misery of slavery

Each day that brings Barrack Obama closer to the American Presidency brings us closer to the matter of reparations. America owes Africa and the people of Africa a profound debt. The numbers are staggering: millions of Africans enslaved and murdered by America. Millions of Africans oppressed and jailed in America’s prisons today. Families destroyed. Culture destroyed. Knowledge stolen and denied.

How much should America pay? Clearly the amount would be in the billions in monetary funds. Additionally, there is no reason why any African should pay taxes to the American government. I certainly hope that Obama as President will make that a reality. But more than mere money is required here. America must express a sincere remorse for the crimes it has committed against humanity. America should be made to pay a price and be punished.

After the European powers concluded their First World War they made Germany pay a price. They made Germany pay vast sums from their treasury. They redrew Germany’s borders. They reduced Germany’s military and economic might. I suggest that similar measures be taken on America.

Keep in mind that all of the territory that comprises the United States is stolen land. The United States therefore is an illegal nation. The Southwestern part of America for example, belongs to Mexico. Why not return this land to the people of Mexico?

It may take generations but I hope that a President Obama will start the process and will correct the wrongs of America and start the healing.

What do you think? This ‘Professor’ states that getting Obama in office as President, the black people will acheive their dreams. Dreams of the United States being divided. Dreams of blacks having their own States. Dreams of blacks not paying taxes.

I do not believe that these are the dreams that MLK had.

Is this just a lone psycho? Or are these views shared by the masses? Shouldn’t we know how prevalent these vews are before we elect him?

The states should not be spit apart. There is no way possible to determine how much land and which land.

Blacks not paying taxes? Impossible to enforce. With all the mixing of the races, how much ‘black’ do you have to have in you to avoid taxes? Or do you pay on percentage of ‘white’? And how many people have ‘proof’ lying around? And how many blacks have come here long after slavery was abolished? Why should they benefit from those who are descendants of slavery? Besides, how would blacks be able to support their new state government without taxes? Can’t rely on whitey, can you? Wouldn’t that be a form of racism? Gotta be something in the Constitution that prohibits this. (Yeah, I’m too lazy to look it up at the moment.)

And is it just me, or would it seem to bizarre to have a black president expressing deep remorse and apologizing for slavery?

And it appears this ‘professor’ is ignoring the problems of blacks vs blacks. Most blacks are killed by blacks. Not whitey. Much of their plight is the result of their own actions.

So, when you check that blockwhen you vote for President, remember that you’re not just voting for that person to run this country. You’re also voting for their supporters. You’re giving them the power to run the country. What direction do THEY want to take it? Obama will listen to the people. If enough people ask for reparations, will he give it to them? Somebody needs to ask Obama what his SPECIFIC views on reparations are. We must know before election day. Otherwise, this will be another unknown factor in a person with too many unknowns.

We need to find out what his real views are now. Before we’ve been bamboozled, hoodwinked, swindled, and fooled.

Forgive me, but aren’t you really saying that you’ve made up your mind that Obama holds secret views, and want to oppose him?

After all, Obama has always been opposed to all of this nonsense — the descendants of slaves being paid reparations, blacks not paying taxes, etc. His position on reparations, for instance, is in writing and has never waivered. And he’s spoken out clearly about the responsibility that blacks need to take, as Jesse Jackson’s vicious comments last week reminded everyone.

You say that we don’t just vote for a president, but for a president’s supporters. Yet this is one guy with strange views. McCain shouldn’t be judged by some lunatic college professor with neo-Nazi views who happens to support him, right? Why is this any different?

  2. frznagn says:

“but aren’t you really saying that you’ve made up your mind that Obama holds secret views, and want to oppose him?”

I’m sure most candidates have, or have the potential for secret views. I have not, in this post, said that OBAMA has secret views. Read the post again.

“Obama has always been opposed to all of this nonsense — the descendants of slaves being paid reparations, blacks not paying taxes, etc.”

Really? I’ve never seen anything of this sort. However, this post was more about what the people will be asking for, not for what he will be wanting to do. There is a clear difference.

“And he’s spoken out clearly about the responsibility that blacks need to take, ”

Everyone needs to take responsibility, not just blacks. But can you honestly state that if McCain said his exact words, that people wouldn’t brand him as racist?

“McCain shouldn’t be judged by some lunatic college professor with neo-Nazi views who happens to support him, right?”

Never said we shouldn’t. But it’s much more than the people they are in touch with. It’s also the masses that will be demanding things. I don’t see the masses asking McCain for anything unusual. I have seen/heard blacks calling for the States to be divided, for reparations, not paying taxes… Check out the earlier video with Farrakan in it. He states that the WHOLE country is owed to blacks for slavery. ALL OF IT! And he’s someone close to Obama. Are you saying this isn’t something we need to be concerned about?

  3. James says:

I have not, in this post, said that OBAMA has secret views. Read the post again.

I said “aren’t you really saying that you’ve made up your mind that Obama holds secret views … ?”

And, in fact, you say that we need to find out what his real views are now. Before we’ve been bamboozled, hoodwinked, swindled, and fooled.”

Isn’t that saying that you think Obama holds secret views? Or are you also urgently calling for us to find out McCain’s real views on these and other issues?

I’ve never seen anything of this sort.

All right. Well, his positions are in writing, and he’s restated them in speeches and interviews countless times. And his voting record is entirely consistent on these issues.

can you honestly state that if McCain said his exact words, that people wouldn’t brand him as racist?

I’m sure there are people who would. Of course, there already are such people. That doesn’t make them right.

More importantly, it’s a legitimately sensitive issue. Just as McCain could talk about the responsibilities of white people in a way that would earn him respect, if not agreement, from most people — while if Obama said the same exact words, he might be perceived as a black person making inappropriate demands of white people. I think it cuts both ways.

I don’t see the masses asking McCain for anything unusual.

I think it’s safe to say that “the masses” are asking the candidates for the same things.

If you mean that candidates should be judged on the various demographic and interest groups who support them, that’s a slippery slope, isn’t it? Almost no blacks support dividing the United States, for instance. Do we judge McCain on views held by equally small numbers of Americans who support him?

As for Louis Farrakhan being “close to Obama,” please check your facts. That’s just not true. And yes, I’m saying this isn’t something we need to be concerned about. At least until I hear you calling for us to be concerned that McCain might be supported by right-wing nut jobs with lunatic agendas like expelling non-whites from the country. They exist, too, and I just don’t see how that raises issues for McCain.

  4. frznagn says:

“I said “aren’t you really saying that you’ve made up your mind that Obama holds secret views … ?””

I caught that the first time you said it.

“Isn’t that saying that you think Obama holds secret views?”

No. Since I have not heard nor seen what his views are, then obviously, his views on these are UNKNOWN to me. What is McCain’s views on the natural gas pipeline here in Alaska? I don’t know. It is an unknown view at this point. If folks are asking/pushing him to take a stand and you get silence, then you can reasonably assume that since he doesn’t want to talk about it, it may not be a popular view. As in, losing votes/support. Best to remain silent as long as possible.

“And his voting record is entirely consistent on these issues.”

He’s been voting on reparations? Or was it against? I missed that one.

“I think it cuts both ways.”

    Yes, yes it does!

“I think it’s safe to say that “the masses” are asking the candidates for the same things.”

Mostly. Good and bad of course. Nature of the beast, eh?

“If you mean that candidates should be judged on the various demographic and interest groups who support them, that’s a slippery slope, isn’t it?”

Yes! And I’m glad you point that out. Obama has made it extremely clear about who receives money from lobbyists. Er, Federal Lobbyists. He’s showing McCains’ associations so it must be OK, right?

“Almost no blacks support dividing the United States, for instance. ”

And your proof in this is where?

“At least until I hear you calling for us to be concerned that McCain might be supported by right-wing nut jobs with lunatic agendas like expelling non-whites from the country.”

McCain is to liberal to do it no matter how many people call for it. He’s made his views on immigration well known. If he was racist, he’d be saying they’d all be on a bus within 16 months. Or something like that.

    “They exist, too”

Sad isn’t it? I’ve quoted Rodney King before, and I’ll do it again. “Can’t we all just get along?”

    Can’t we?

Watch that video of Farakahn and notice how many blacks are in the audience. Large group, no? He didn’t get booed. The masses may not ask for what the radicals want, but will they stop them from getting what they want? Doesn’t look like it. Maybe they believe if they start asking now, that it will scare the voters away from Obama? Best to be quiet and wait. I’m willing to bet they won’t be so quiet after Obama gets elected. Same as the folks in Rev. Wrights’ church. They cheered the Reverend on with his hateful speech. To me, it wasn’t just the Reverend that held those views, many others did. How could Obama be so blind as not to notice their views? Surely someone this clueless shouldn’t be running the country!!!

Bush and many others have been criticized for their associations. Right or wrong, the left has made a big deal of it. Why shouldn’t the left be held to their standards?

  5. James says:

frznagn, you say that it cuts both ways, and that you don’t believe that Obama holds secret views on these issues.

If that’s the case, then why aren’t you calling for the American public to look into the views of both Obama and McCain on these issues? What other reason could there be for the double standard?

You say that McCain couldn’t act on behalf of any right-wing supporters who call for expelling minorities from the country. Yet your reason is that McCain has made his views on immigration well-known.

First, most minorities aren’t immigrants, so these are two completely different issues.

Second, he’s a politician, so of course he wouldn’t be calling for it now, while he’s trying to get elected. That’s your whole point, isn’t it?

So why do you trust McCain, who’s never actually taken a position on expelling minorities from the country, but you don’t trust Obama, who’s come out firmly against reparations, has never called for dividing the country, etc.?

I’m fine with criticizing associations, but to worry that someone’s going to turn over their principles to suddenly back a handful of supporters, I just don’t get that. Would any first-term president alienate most of his supporters (most of Obama’s supporters are white and not radical enough to support reparations, for instance) to appease a few?

  6. James says:

I want to make sure I was clear above: Why aren’t you calling for us to look into the views of both McCain and Obama on reparations, dividing the country, etc.? Since they both oppose these things, and both might hold secret views. Unless you really do suspect Obama in particular of holding secret views on these issues, which you’ve said clearly that you don’t.

  7. frznagn says:

I’ve already explained this. People who support McCain aren’t asking for reparations, but those who support Obama are. Much different! If no one is calling for McCain to do reparations, then why ask him his policy on it?

Besides, I have not seen either candidate make a statement on it. Nothing in the lamestream media about it.

“Unless you really do suspect Obama in particular of holding secret views on these issues, which you’ve said clearly that you don’t.”

Again, his supporters are asking for them and he is silent. Also, Obama would be more likely to approve reparations because he’s stated he’s for ‘change’ (reparations would be change, right?) and he wants to fix the problems between the races. (reparations would fix the problem, right?)

Obama’s vague wording can leave one wondering EXACTLY where he stands.

  8. James says:

Frznagn, if you believe the difference is that one candidate is being supported, among millions and millions of people, by a few who believe in reparations, and that this suggests he may secretly feel pressure to support them, despite his steady rejection of those policies … then you believe he harbors secret policies.

What do you mean, why ask McCain his policy on reparations? He *does* have some supporters who favor reparations, too. What is the difference?

Finally, as I’ve said, OBAMA IS NOT SILENT ON THE ISSUE. You obviously haven’t read his statements on the issue, and that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made such statements, or that the media hasn’t covered them.

  9. frznagn says:

“despite his steady rejection of those policies … then you believe he harbors secret policies.”

This would be a true statement if I’ve seen or heard those ‘steady rejection’s. Since I haven’t then it’s not true!

“He *does* have some supporters who favor reparations, too.”

I haven’t seen or heard of them. Just your words. Where is the proof? I linked to one site and have posted a video. More than just words on my part.

    “What is the difference?”

Again, if you’d read my response you’d actually see that I’ve addressed this. It doesn’t help to ask questions then ignore the answers. And have you watched that Farakhan video? Probably not. You’re probably one of those that believe leaders like Farakhan can say anything they want and it doesn’t mean anything. But let a few people at the bottom say something and then it really means something. I hate to break it to you, but leaders like Farakhan will motivate far more people than what I can. He also can grab headlines and appear on radio/tv much faster than I can, and can get more coverage. So we should pay more attention to them.

  10. James says:

    Frznagn,

“This would be a true statement if ….”

This, in turn, would be a true statement if what you knew about Obama and McCain were any different. I can respect that you aren’t aware of Obama’s statements (or actions) on the public policy issues you discuss. But, even if you’ve heard McCain make “steady rejections” of these proposals, you have no reason to believe that his positions are any different than Obama’s — since, as you acknowledge, you aren’t familiar with Obama’s positions (haven’t heard his rejections, etc.).

You haven’t heard that McCain has supporters who support reparations, etc.? I certainly know Republicans who plan to vote for McCain who support such nonsense as reparations.

I’ve read what you say is the difference between your concerns about Obama, and your lack of concern about McCain. And I believe I’ve addressed your reasoning.

I know that Farrakhan says wild, radical things. But so what? Both candidates are supported by fringe elements. Obama doesn’t support or endorse Farrakhan in any way.

You’re certainly right about the dangers of people like Farrakhan. I just wouldn’t attribute his views to anyone who argues so strongly against him. Not Mcain, and not Obama.

Did you have these concerns about Kerry? Gore? Bill Clinton? Farrakhan supported them more strongly than he does Obama, I believe.

    Thanks for listening!

  11. frznagn says:

“certainly know Republicans who plan to vote for McCain who support such nonsense as reparations.”

I find that surprising. Are you sure they’re really Republicans?

“Did you have these concerns about Kerry? Gore? Bill Clinton? Farrakhan supported them more strongly than he does Obama, I believe.”

Maybe Obama has told him to back off? It’s possible and plausible. Maybe with all the BS with his Reverend and all, he decided to have some of the more fringe elements lay low. I’m really not a conspiracy nut but I’m just looking at reasonable choices. Unlike those that keep saying Bush is going to bring back the draft and that we sent a carrier in the gulf and planned on sinking it and blaming the Iranians. As for Farrakhan’s support of the others. I have not seen or remember those events. But was he calling for the US to be given to blacks back then? If not, then this gives it a much greater meaning then.

    “Thanks for listening!”

    Anytime. Thanks for stopping by!

  12. James says:

Yes, I’m quite certain they’re really Republicans. 🙂 And more importantly, that they’re supporting McCain.

Of course it’s possible that Obama has told anyone to back off supporting him. The same, of course, is true of McCain. But then the argument is reduced to the claim that we should be suspicious that Obama might hold secret views which contradict his public positions, not because a few people who support him hold those views, but because there are a few people who hold those views and who might secretly support him. That’s pretty speculative, isn’t it?

  13. frznagn says:

Politics is chock full of speculation. I prefer to vote for a candidate that is more well known and will work with those across the isle.

  14. frznagn says:

“Yet you voted for Bush. Curious.”

As much as I explain this, you fail to understand. So further explanation will serve no purpose. Keep re-reading until it sinks in. And I did say ‘prefer’ which is different than ‘only’ or ‘never’.

    “I’ll remember that.”

Only if you remember my context. I think you misunderstand my point or the dynamics of the situation.

  15. frznagn says:

“You say you ‘prefer’ to vote for candidates that will work with those across the isle, yet fail to do so.”

Show me my complete voting record and prove that I haven’t. Local, State and Federal. All you know is that I’ve voted for Bush. Wow. One person. Statistically insignificant. Yet you pounce on it like you’ve found a gold mine. ‘Prefer’ is just that- Prefer. It isn’t the only factor that is in play.

“for reasons unknown, you chose to ignore an opposition candidate who was far more likely to be bi-partisan. ”

I’d rather not state my reasons to you as you can’t accept them. For some odd reason, my reasons have to meet your approval. I say they don’t have to. And you believe that Kerry would be more bi-partisan, I say he wouldn’t.

“but anyone who can vote for Bush TWICE should be accountable and able to answer questions about why.”

I’ve said it a bunch of times yet you’re still lost. THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS! It’s either vote for the least evil and hope he wins or don’t vote and that will only help the more evil. So simple a child can understand it. When you get a choice between two and only two items, you either pick the best one, the one you like, the one you prefer, or in the worst-case scenario- you pick the lesser of two evils. If you can’t get that simple idea through your thick head, then go somewhere else to be obtuse.

And your idea of being held ‘accountable’ for your votes is interesting. Did somebody figure out all of the people that voted for Hitler and take legal action against them? Yup, you voted for Hitler and he killed people so you have to be punished as well!!! I’m willing to bet it doesn’t matter whom they voted for- they all paid a price for it.

“You are brewing up a vast, black muslim/liberal conspiracy whereby Obama gives reparations and 25 states to African Americans and puts the rest under Sharia law or somesuch bollocks.”

Funny, I’m not the one making this stuff up. I have links and video’s that prove my points. Show me your proof that they are wrong or misleading.

“It’s all nonsense and you know it, scaremongering, paranoid, extremist claptrap which you have the hide to call ‘reasonable choices’.”

I’ve backed my statements up. It’s not ‘scaremongering’ when I show the truth. It’s not ‘paranoid’ when you can watch and listen to them stating that the country is ‘owed’ to them. You watch the video. Is it my ‘paranoid’ words, or is it their words? Besides, if you’re wrong- you don’t suffer any repercussions of your words. We do. I’d rather not find out the hard way. By your standards, if we are concerned about something, then we should ignore it. Vote him in office then find out what happens. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the most irresponsible thing to do! Hey, give me access to your savings account and I’ll double it in two years! Trust me!!! Right, eh? Since you have no proof to believe that I’d do otherwise, then you must give it to me. And don’t even go on the ‘poor analogy’ excuse. If you don’t get the meaning of my analogy then don’t complain about it. Nothing’s exact or perfect so live with it.

As for ‘conspiracies’, the left wins hands down. Bush sinking Aircraft Carriers to start a war with Iran. Bush reinstating the Draft. Bush is behind 9/11. Bush is trying to start a war with North Korea. The list just goes on and on.

“then so are, say, the investigations of the 9/11 troofers or those that want the Plame Affair”

I like the one where the troofers state that fuel can’t melt metal. When that fuel truck caught fire on that freeway in California, it melted the metal and it collapsed. Yes, there was a layer of concrete between the fuel and the metal too. Investigate them if you want. It doesn’t bother me. Other than the obvious waste of taxpayers money.

“has been the most corrupt and evil ever to steal a US election”

It’s funny how you folks complain about something like this, but when Mugabe beats up the opposition and it’s obvious that the voting is a complete sham, you are silent. But have the appearance that it was ‘stolen’ here, and ya’ll bitch and moan. Gosh, I suppose Bush should have sent his goons to break Kerry’s legs or rape his wife and kidnap his kids. Maybe then nobody would care.

    “just ‘reasonable choices’.”

Only ‘reasonable’ if you have proof and take the proper actions. Drinking the Kool-Aid Konspiracy Blend and demanding people be tossed in jail is lame. So much for your version of ‘justice’. Yes, I realize at this point you’ll skip right on over to Bush’s ‘justice’ and provide ample links which I will then ignore. Why? If all you can do is redirect the issue, then I’ll just ignore the redirection. Sounds fair.

Anyways, my son is on his way back home from Down Under. I’ll be posting the pics on my website. I trust since you’ve been there that you can find his pics? Feel free to check his out.
